Research Grants for Princeton Students

QPA provides funding support to Princeton University students for undergraduate and graduate independent research projects on topics in the broad area of LGBTQIA+ studies. Funds are typically used for purchase of materials and supplies, subscriptions and travel expenses.

Deadlines

Applications for Spring funding should be received by March 15, for Summer funding by May 1, and for Fall funding by October 15. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Application deadlines can be flexible.

Recipient Responsibilities

Funding recipients are required to provide a copy of the completed work to QPA. To assure compliance with this requirement, a portion of any funding award will be withheld until a copy of the work is received. Details will be provided in a funding award agreement letter to the recipient.

Application Process

Applicants should submit the following:

  • Name, phone number, email and postal addresses

  • Class or Princeton University relationship

  • Princeton University Department, Advisor, and Advisor phone number and/or email address

  • A description of the proposed work and its relevance to the LGBTQIA+ community

  • A summary of expenses, including amounts and when needed

  • A summary of secured or anticipated funding from other sources

  • Expected completion date
